Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country, Pat wanted at a very early age to grow flowers because she loved the bright colors. However, growing up on a ranch during the 1950’s, she wasn’t allowed to waste water on such trivial things and had to content herself with painting flowers in her coloring books.
As she grew, so did her love for gardening and painting. Most of her inspiration for her paintings today comes from her flower garden behind her gorgeous home located in San Angelo, Texas.
She loves dramatic, colorful paintings whether they’re of flowers, people, animals, or landscapes. She also loves using several different mediums including oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and collage.
She has studied with numerous artists like Cathy Lubke of San Angelo and Bill Herring of El Paso as her greatest influences.
Pat hopes that spectators of her works will feel her passion for color which defines her paintings.
